Toyota Timing Belts

The Toyota timing belts are important components of the internal combustion engine that work to let the camshaft revolve at exactly half the speed of the crankshaft while at the same time ensuring the right alignment. This would mean that the camshaft should generate two revolutions for every single camshaft revolution. You must know that any timing belt regardless of their manufacturer has a limited service span but this part is much preferred over the durable chains because it is a lot cheaper and it does not create a disturbing sound unlike the other. Most of the time, the recommended replacement should be every 60,000 to 105, 000 miles depending upon your vehicle.

Too often, the Toyota timing belts are made from rubber high-tensile fibers but the rubber material however is very susceptible to damages and it will degrade too soon when it is often in contact with very high temperature or antifreeze chemicals. So if you have a leaky or very hot engine might as well expect that the life span of your timing belt is shorter. If you don’t want a rubber belts, there are newer kindsof Toyota timing belts that are not rubberized but far more expensive than the usual kind. This kind however is made up of materials that are indeed more resistant to temperature.
